While shooting the big wave contest at Nelscott Reef in Lincoln City, I turned my jet ski around to reposition myself when I saw a set approaching South Reef. I quickly looked through the lens and saw this massive wave unload in the middle of the ocean. North Reef gets all the attention, but South Reef holds the biggest surf. To this day, this image remains one of my all time favorites.
